Job Description

Position Summary

Adaugeo Healthcare is looking for a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the physical facilities and related services for the laboratory, clinics and warehouse.

Areas of Responsibility 

 

Facilities: Laboratory, All Clinics, Warehouse

  • Drywall: repair, caulk and repaint drywall scratches and dents
  • Windows: Refinish and repair window sills
  • Electrical: Replace bulbs and ballasts in lighting throughout all facilities. Make minor electrical repairs
  • Plumbing; repair minor plumbing (sinks, faucets, toilets etc) when needed. Replace toilet, sink and faucet caulk as needed.
  • Flooring: replace and repair carpet tiles, vinyl tiles, transition strips and base on all flooring
  • Install shelving, or other necessary additions (minor construction) as needed
  • Install signage as needed
  • Repair cabinets, hinges, drawer guides.
  • Refinish wood surfaces – doors, cabinets, and walls
  • Repair entrance doors, hinges and locks
  • HVAC: Inspect and replace filters as needed
  • Pressure wash, and blow out breezeways and parking lots
  • Perform preventative maintenance as assigned

 

Landscaping:

  • Irrigation: Spring turn-on and fall blow-out of irrigation lines.
  • Irrigation: Periodic check of drip irrigation. Replace sprayer/drip as needed
  • Shrubs: replacements when needed
  • Trees/shrubs, prune and trim

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Move/transport office furniture, equipment and supplies in/around building and grounds.
  • Maintain functionality of office spaces by repairing, installing, or improving new or existing structures and hardware.
  • Manage inventory and notify mgrs. of needed hardware, paint, lightbulbs, carpet, or vinyl flooring.
  • Change or repair locks/keys

 

Other Duties:

  • Courier route (local) when absolutely needed.
  • Transport hazardous waste from lab to storage container

 

Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license with no restrictions

Experience: Capable of driving vehicles with either standard or automatic transmission and 2 years working in medical courier field.

General Physical Requirements

OSHA CATEGORY

This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged standing and walking; repeated bending, squatting, twisting, stooping, climbing ladders, scaffolding.
  • May be exposed to hazards from use of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and power equipment and toxic chemicals and gases.
  • Occasionally must lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to enter and exit assigned Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.
  • Able to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment as
  • Regularly handling of potentially infectious
  • Drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement
  • Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing
